He stood there,
overlooking the ocean.
His feet planted
where the water
meets the land.
He listened
to the music
that the sunset made.
And in feeling God's presence,
he raised up his hands.
The warmth of a star
spread across his face.
The coolness of the
water rushed up
onto his feet.
Then the temperature fell,
and the sky darkened.
He put his head in
his hands and
began to weep.
For the beauty of
the sunrise, and
the events in between
had all too
soon been beat.
