Hiding beneath
the books in my bag,
I walked through the doors
with a bit of a lag.
Dreading the stares
from strange new classmates.
My heartbeat sped up
beyond record-breaking rates.
I took my seat fast
at the back of the room.
"Oh don't call on me,
thank you and WHEW!"
The first day is gone,
my gosh it was fun!
Can't wait for the last,
cause then, I"ll be done!
